30K to Build a Sweet Home - (Episo 3 - living room)

 

 My brought living room furniture from Novena mid years sale, (Sitting -Coffee table, 3+2 sofa , dining table @SGD3050), before delivery we quite worry about the quality, this is because when we re-view the command online we found quite a number of bad command, at the end we found quite a good services from Novena, no delay , one day before we have received confirmation call to schedule timing for installation. I have used all my furniture for 4 month still look like brand new.

I would to sharing with you, I have request carpentry to quote whole house, but we found the TV console we need to pay around SGD 1650, if buy from furniture house need to pay SGD 700-1200 so we just think to buy semi finish TV console and do it our self but without fixture wall, and the outcome look like Court designer showed TV console, furthermore I only pay SGD 270.

the shoes cabinet we bought online and install our self @ SGD 80 x 2 = 160

 

This main door is not a new door but we laminate door below with Formica become brand new door.

this is a very complicated task which recommended by my carpentry, because fire proof  door are very expensive and we afraid if we change to normal door we need to put back when we want to sell the house, further more, where can i keep this dirty door, so we decide to completely make over this ugly door by laminate.  

 

 

Something that we want to share base on out experience, for the door lamination, must choose the horizon line instead of vertical line, because for horizon line the join line are unlikely to see, but horizon line you may easy to see the join line.

I brought all the lighting from internet, all the lighting come with LED light bulb that made in China, but the quality really bad hence I remove all and change all to Philip 5 W LED .

We did a lot of research for Fan, and we check almost  all shop at Balestier Road, and we decide purchase Fan from Malaysia and change the hanger to Singapore design.  ( Singapore design is shorter, you can cut to shorter, but I decide change whole set and pay RM 30 more).
